• MV/LV transformer with dynamic tension management for LV.

• Use of PLC for upward communication with the transformer (real time supervision on the “Confluence” urban area).

• Solution for asset data reliability based on tension measurements by Linky: insufficient technical reliability of the model used.

No grid-wide roll out

• 60 000 load sheddings in housing coordinated with Engie, GEG and Schneider Electric (on three heating seasons) demonstrated the rebound and delay effects, as well as the need for distribution grid / demand aggregator coordination, and for cost-benefit analysis to compare value-creation among stakeholders involved.

• Demand Agregator IT portal (Schneider Electric solution).

• Platform for LV outage management based on Linky (Linky-Réseau).

• Quality of supply monitoring IT infrastructure based on Linky data (Okoumé).

• Improving the “panels method” for ex-post flexibility control.

Grid-wide roll out ongoing

• Real-life testing of short time demand response to reduce peak loads.

• Optimising grid operation and control on MV and LV grids.

Optimising energy flows with DERs and EVs connected to the grid.

• Encourage customers involvement in energy demand management.

• Test solutions for consumption forecasts and decentralised generation.

• Identify value creation.

illustration of load shedding for 300 LV customers : power rebound and energy consumption postponement

• The power rebound effect reached between 25% and 50% of total load shedding; 95% of the related energy was eventually consumed later on.

• When concentrating flexibility activation on certain areas, DSO-flexibility operator coordination was necessary for better risk anticipation and management.

• The “panels” method through Linky yielded satisfactory results (performance and neutrality) for ex-post load shedding control in the housing sector.
