OBJECTIVES
• Modernise the island’s power system to take up more renewable generation, improve management of generation intermittency, pave the way for more flexibility and reach a 100% green energy mix as of 2021 (phasing out the use of fuel generators).
ACHIEVEMENTS AND LESSONS LEARNED

• June 2018-May 2019 : survey of the protection plan, specifications bill and tender in order to renew the command and control infrastructure and the EMS; factory testing and roll-out of EMS and SCADA.
• June 2019: inauguration of the 1st phase : new premises for the power station, connection of a 20 kWc PV unit on the roof, connection of the international diving centre on the existing grid, renovation of the electric command and control unit, setting up of the EMS…
• Autumn 2019: LV grid modernisation and optimisation of the protection plan.
